We are located just north of Shreveport, Louisiana. We began
breeding Miniature Dachshunds about 7 years ago. We fell in
love with the Dachshund breed because of its neat personality
and the vast array of colors and patterns that they come in. We
currently have long and smooth coated Dachshunds in red,
black/tan, chocolate/tan, blue/tan and isabella/tan. We also have
dapples and piebalds.
Many of our dogs live in the house with us but some are
alternated from the house to a kennel that is air conditioned and
heated for their comfort. All of our puppies are raised in the
house (usually in our bedroom). We try to make sure that we
breed for the best temperament and as close to breed standard
as possible. This is why we provide a written 2 year
genetic/hereditary health guarantee with any puppy that we sell.
All puppies are given the appropriate vaccinations and
dewormed as long as they are here with us.
We require a contract with all puppy sales and must speak with
you by phone before selling a dog. Most puppies are ready for
their new home at 7 weeks if they are being picked up. We can
ship our puppies within the U.S. The price for shipping depends
on which airline we are using. We prefer to ship with Continental
Airlines due to their temperature controlled compartments.
Shipping through Continental is an additional $225. Shipping
through other airlines usually runs between $250-$300. The
shipping price includes the required veterinary health certificate,
an airline approved travel kennel, and airfare. Puppies may not
be shipped until they are at least 8 weeks old, preferably 10
weeks.
We take great pride in our dogs and in the puppies that we sell.
They are all like children to us and are loved very much while
they are here with us. We offer a lifetime return policy. We
require all puppies/dogs that we have sold to be returned to us if
they can no longer be cared for by their new owner. We will pay
a fair price based on the dogs age, verifiable health records, and
return of AKC paperwork. Our goal is to make sure every puppy
goes to a happy home where they are loved like children. We
will never sell our puppies to pet shops, brokers or puppy mills.
